Forget Christmas And Thanksgiving. This Year, There Is Only One Event That Should Be Circled In Red On The Calendar; The Black Dahlia Murder Are Coming To London.
It’s hard to imagine that Detroit’s premier death metal outfit have only been playing together for three years. The uncompromising and gifted band have already taken their head-on collision between Swedish-influenced metal and a Florida death metal vibe, to unimagined heights.
Brutal yet melodic, the band quickly developed an intense and neck-breaking pace of its own. Unhallowed, the debut album on Metal Blade Records, was a pure fest of dark, blood-thirsty breaks and fast blast beats. And while their legacy is already admired and revered thanks to the album, their live performance is sensationally breaking even more new ground.
Live, the band is second to none, reintroducing an impassioned energy and ruthlessness that has been absent from the death metal scene for far too long. The band does not subscribe to hair-swaying and posing; they perform their gut-twisting and backbreaking destruction in the purest and most dedicated way possible.
Now, The Black Dahlia Murder are coming to England’s capital, to play a one-off showcase before they head off on a European tour with the likes of Marduk, Napalm Death and VADER.
The Black Dahlia Murder are breathing life – and death – into the metal scene. December 3rd is a date that will bring London to its knees and force it to listen. You simply have to bear witness to what will be a very, very special event.
